On March 15, 2022, President Biden signed FY’22 appropriations bill HR 2471, which passed the U.S. House and U.S. Senate on a bipartisan basis. As reported by NASEO following Congressional approval, funding for SEP is set at $63 million ($62.5 million in FY’21) and WAP is at $313 million ($310 million in FY’21). Congress provided substantial increases in funding for most U.S. Department of Energy programs – efficiency, renewables, nuclear, grid, storage, security, carbon management.
